Image of hill at Blue Mountain Resort, Collingwood, Ontario, Canada - with words "He's got the whole world in His hands" and "I look to the hills"

Blue Mountain Resort, Collingwood, Ontario, Canada

Words fail me at OUR current “State of Affairs”…all I can utter at this time is…

“Oh Lord, your name is wonderful, your name is excellent, your name is beautiful…I worship you Lord for you are Mighty – You’ve got the whole world in your hands…”

He’s got the whole world in his hands he’s got the whole wide world in his hands
He’s got the whole world in his hands he’s got the whole world in his hands

He’s got the little bitty baby in his hands he’s got the little bitty baby in his hands
He’s got the little bitty baby in his hands he’s got the whole world in his hands
He’s got the whole world in his hands…

He’s got you and me brother in his hands he’s got you and me sister in his hands
He’s got you and me brother in his hands he’s got the whole world in his hands
He’s got the whole world in his hands…

He’s got everybody here in his hands he’s got everybody here in his hands
He’s got everybody here in his hands he’s got the whole world in his hands
He’s got the whole world in his hands…
He’s got the whole world in his hands… — Loretta Lynn

The picture above was taken at a retreat in Collingwood (Blue Mountain).  As I stared at this picture, it got me thinking of how powerless we are in a ‘power-driven’ world.

However, I am reminded by the Psamist that when I am powerless to the happenings around me, I can look up to the maker of heaven and earth…

Psalm 121 – New International Version (NIV)

“1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.”

Be well…Be Safe…This too shall pass..

The best is yet to come…
